The gallery was excited to receive over 80 pupils (art and drama students) and teachers of Art from the American International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa on 24th February 2023. The group was from eight African countries namely; Ethiopia, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia.
The pupils, who were on a gallery tour as part of their art workshop, took time to see the Wool Visions Textile exhibition in the main gallery, and the Lechwe Trust Heritage Collection mounted outside the gallery. The Lechwe Trust Vice Chairperson Mr William Miko and Gallery staff welcomed the group.
We are pleased to receive learners and future artists as an educational art institution, we are an open classroom and learners have an opportunity to interact with authentic artworks on display.
