February 10 – March 5, 2023
Wool Visions Exhibition features Aase Marie Brun’s textile artworks, which combine traditional and modern art and bring out the possibilities and beauty of fabric as a means of expression.
The official opening saw the coming together of artists, art lovers, enthusiasts, and media personal to preview textile art which is not a common art expression in Zambia. We appreciated the presence of the British High Commissioner H.E Ambassador Nicholas Woolley and his wife Debbie Sidwell, our very good patrons, and the new Italian Ambassador to Zambia H. E. Enrico De Agostini. It was interesting to see many women during the opening of Wool Visions; their interest and love for fabric was visible as they viewed innovative patterns and designs.
Aase had already shared her artistic techniques with eight Zambian women artists who participated in a textile workshop that Aase facilitated, free of charge. The artworks from the workshop are also on display in the gallery.
Visit the Gallery to see this exciting and colourful Exhibition. Artworks are available for sale!
The exhibition is open to the public until 5th March, 2023.
